Group Therapy
At Intecelle, our team combines clinical expertise with compassion. Individuals can discuss their experiences and connect with people who can relate/have gone through similar struggles.
How: Those battling personal, professional, and interpersonal challenges have access to support groups – a network of people who can support you in overcoming obstacles.
Daily group therapy sessions include:
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),
- Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT),
- Trauma
- Substance Abuse
Why not express yourself in a safe, judgment-free zone that not only helps you regain confidence but nurtures compassion and understanding for group members alike.
Individual Therapy
It might be the right time for you to seek therapy if your issue(s) negatively impacts or interferes with daily life. Negative issues can include poor feelings about oneself, thoughts and actions that encourage reckless behaviors, and more. If you’re feeling depressed and/or overwhelmed, therapy can help you acknowledge hard-to-face issues and seek positive outcomes.
How: People facing challenges to their overall well-being can certainly benefit from this type of therapy. A qualified therapist will meet with the individual, perform an assessment and provide a recommended course of treatment. Positive emotions like compassion and self-worth may become stronger as a result.
Individual therapy can:
- Teach individuals how to handle challenging circumstances and/or situations,
- Encourage smarter decision-making,
- Gently nudge the person to become self-aware, and
- Accomplish goals.
Therapists will encourage positive outlooks that not only build up the individual’s self-worth but allow a sense of compassion to develop.
Family Therapy
Problems within the family unit due to marital strife, divorce, the death of a loved one, financial hardships, and more undergo a tremendous amount of strain that can damage relationships, sever family ties, cause depression, food and substance abuse, and similar. It is not uncommon for severe communication issues to surface, as well as behavioural changes in children. Our family therapy program aims to bolster collaboration, compassion, and understanding among family members.
How: Individuals are encouraged to recognize and work toward objectives that can improve themselves – each strategy is uniquely tailored to the individual and is based on an evaluation of the needs of the family unit as a whole. The family will meet with a trained therapist to discuss and work through any challenges or issues faced as a family unit. Family therapy can successfully treat a variety of mental health disorders and behavioral concerns, such as:
- Communication issues,
- Difficulty with conflict resolution,
- Behavioral problems that trigger violent outbursts, and
- Relational problems.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Many people find it a challenge to interact with others or appear in public areas/spaces. Some may experience panic attacks or have recurring anxiety. Others may struggle with a mental disorder like Bipolar Mood Disorder or one of the many conditions that lie on the autistic spectrum. These disorders and others can result in behaviors, leading to isolation and feelings of depression.
How: Psychosocial therapy aims to assist those individuals (with mental health disorders) in reaching out with the goal of engaging others at a level they feel is comfortable. The therapist will encourage the individual to explore issues/concerns revolving around their family, friends, and others; with the aim of the individual acknowledging their feelings, moods, and overall mental health.
Treatment options include:
- Exposure therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and
- Interpersonal therapy
